SUMMARY:Chantal Lamarre – Variety
DESCRIPTION:After 40 years in the business, it’s a return to her roots: a venue, a stage, a spotlight. Chantal Lamarre invites the audience to an evening reminiscent of the good old cabarets of yesteryear, where songs are sung and a dance is taken to the stage.\nAn observer of the world, a bit of a joker, a host, and a performer who, until the age of 60, never once considered venturing out on her own, “she sings, she dances, she acts.” The “oohs” should follow the “aahs,” promising laughter and perhaps even that essential little lump of emotion. In short, without any pretension, a winning formula for a variety show with vintage touches that addresses very current issues.\nLooking back to face the future with less heaviness. The chatterbox who comments on major events with her critical sense and humor, the girl who speaks impetuously about society and culture, and the clownish woman who has never been afraid of looking ridiculous will come together for a beautiful evening to escape the gloom, get a smile on their face, and want to see life a little differently… Ladies, young ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between, young and new old; Steppettes and bagpipes, is definitely something to add to your list of outings!
