Jean-Sébastien Cloutier
During your visit to Mont-Saint-Pierre, it is impossible to miss the “yellow house”. It is here that an exceptional person is hiding who has contributed since its beginnings to the success of the Mont-Saint-Pierre revival project.
Jean-Sébastien has been involved in his community since he was very young and he even created his tandem flight business in 2007 when he was 37 years old. He is also known for his volunteer involvement on various tables and committees. He was a volunteer on nearly 30 editions of the Free Flight Festival (and there were 43), president of the Mont-Saint-Pierre tourist corporation, municipal councilor and even mayor for 8 years.
The development and influence of his part of the country are close to his heart and he has devoted a good part of his life to it. The current president of the Mont-Saint-Pierre Solidarity Cooperative has always believed in the development potential of his region and has always been involved without counting his hours. His entrepreneurial spirit will certainly have given him the necessary assets to overcome pitfalls and continue to believe in it.
His greatest pride? Seeing the birth this year of the much-coveted Seaside Mountain Station project. Despite the pitfalls and field trips, he never stopped believing in it and, today, he can shout loud and clear that he has succeeded. But this success would never have happened without the involvement of the team of volunteers from the board of directors who gave a second wind to the realization of his childhood dream.
Jean-Sébastien’s favorite
“My favorite is Pointe Sec in Mont-Louis. For its cultural offering in terms of emerging artists, but also for the unique and warm atmosphere of the place. I like to meet there with my friends for an evening for a show and a good local beer. »
