The improbable success of Jim Déguédine comes from the fact that despite a unique sound, he captivates the audience from the first melodies. The group is compared by critics to Fred Fortin, Les Colocs, Charlebois, RBO and Mononc Serge, but also to Tom Waits and Primus.

He shared the stage with Mononc Serge, Pépé and his guitar, Anonymus, Capitaine Révolte, Bloodshot Bill, Orloge Simard, Séba (and Horg/Gatineau) and many others (see epk). Jim, through his various projects, has been active since 2006 on the stages of Quebec (municipal, festivals, as well as in halls and bars), but launched a one-man slap band of funky folk in 2018.
