Skin-o-thon Avalanche
Spring is here, and with it comes a wonderful opportunity to gather in the mountains. On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Avalanche Québec invites you to the Skin-o-thon, a festive and inclusive run at the Cap-Chat Outdoor Centre.
The concept is simple:
Complete as many laps as possible on a loop course between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., at your own pace.
No official timing.
No pressure.
Just movement, fun, and a great sense of community.
Whether you’re on touring skis, a splitboard, or even just ski boots, everyone is welcome. From beginners to seasoned skinning ultramarathoners, everyone is welcome.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere will be electric:

Whether you’re coming to test your spring cardio, rack up some elevation gain, or simply have a great time in the mountains, this day is for you. Your participation is an opportunity to support avalanche safety for the entire backcountry community. See you on the loop on April 4th!
