Boléro
Paris, during the Roaring Twenties. The pianist Maurice Ravel enjoys a good reputation, even if some critics compare him negatively to Erik Satie. The sensual and daring choreographer Ida Rubinstein has just commissioned the music for her next ballet. Lacking inspiration, the French composer draws on his memories and encounters to recharge his batteries. He has just returned from a successful American tour. Then there are all these women who seem to liven it up. This is particularly the case for Misia Sert, a married woman who could well be his muse. Thanks to them, Ravel will create his greatest work: Le Boléro.
