Sept-Îles ’72: Archives of the Ordinary World

Following the imprisonment of the leaders of the Common Inter-Union Front during the general strike of spring 1972 in Quebec, workers and activists in Sept-Îles spontaneously occupied the city. Through the testimonies of a handful of activist friends and archival material, this film recounts the reasons for the revolt, the sequence of events during the occupation, which ended tragically, and its impact on the lives of those who experienced it.
