Films shown:
COLD CALLS by Blank Collective
SYNOPSIS: Blank Collective’s latest film, Cold Calls, is a ski movie assembled from conversations, memories, and whatever else the season had to offer. From storm cycles in Whistler to snowy days in Japan, the wide-open spaces of Norway, and the rare sunshine of Alaska, each call brought a different story—some hilarious, some more serious, most somewhere in between. The result wasn’t exactly planned, but it felt right.
Running Time: 40 min

THE PASS by Arc’teryx Film
SYNOPSIS: This Arc’teryx film takes us to the heart of Rogers Pass, a dangerous corridor in British Columbia where the Trans-Canada Highway and the CP Railway run beneath 134 avalanche chutes that trigger more than 2,000 avalanches each winter. Once closed to backcountry skiing, Rogers Pass is now accessible thanks to a complex avalanche control program managed by Parks Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces, and a unique winter permit system. This documentary reveals the little-known story of the creation of this system and the women who helped shape it.

Running time: 14 min
A must-see for the mountain and adventure enthusiast community!
