A veritable sea of mountains with 25 peaks over 1,000 metres, this provincial park in the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula is home to a vast diversity of plants and wildlife. In summer, hiking is in the spotlight with some 140 km of trails. In winter, the Alpine School offers the best tools to respond to the summits, whether on snowshoes or on skis.
The park offers four campgrounds. In summer, there are four cabins on the shore of Lake Cascapédia that promise a peaceful and comfortable stay. In winter, in addition to the cabins at the Gîte du Mont-Albert, there are four cabins in the Petit-Saut sector on the quiet banks of the Sainte-Anne river, far from busy areas.
At any time of year, you can stay near the day hiking trails in one of the seven huts at the Mont-Albert campground. There are also 12 backpacking huts available in the backcountry.
