Originally from Mont-Saint-Pierre, Claude has deep roots in his village, where his family settled in the 19th century. His commitment to the community began in the 1970s, after a trip to Europe. He established himself as a local leader, capable of bringing people together and implementing large-scale projects.

The year 2025 marks his 50th anniversary of volunteer involvement in the region! His most significant contribution is undoubtedly his role in the creation of the Fête du Vol Libre in 1978, a major international event that established Mont-Saint-Pierre as the hang-gliding capital of Canada. Claude also initiated the creation of the Club Quad Les Deux Phares, a project that stimulated the local economy and attracted many new visitors. These initiatives have significantly contributed to the growth of tourism in Mont-Saint-Pierre, generating significant economic benefits.

Passionate about his region, Claude dreams of several future projects aimed at diversifying the tourism offerings and attracting new customers. Still employed by Sépaq as a tourist information officer at Mont Jacques-Cartier, he never misses an opportunity to showcase his region and shower his hometown with praise. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones and continuing his involvement in community projects.

His love for Mont-Saint-Pierre and his desire to contribute to its development remain unwavering. In recognition of his commitment, the reception complex located on the paragliding and hang-gliding pilots’ landing field proudly bears his name, a tribute to his years of volunteer involvement.
