Inspiring portrait – Delphine Moray

Delphine, an entrepreneur and passionate artist originally from France, settled in Quebec in the early 2000s. In 2019, she set down roots in Mont-Louis, a small coastal village that reminds her of her French roots.
Since her arrival, Delphine has invested in her community by founding two local businesses. She first opened Les Charlines, a summer kiosk where she showcases her roots through the famous “galette-saucisse,” a traditional dish combining authentic flavors and conviviality. A few years later, Frip&Art was born: an ethical fashion boutique that promotes recycling and responsible fashion. It offers original and affordable clothing while encouraging sustainable consumption.
Delphine’s involvement in the tourism industry was guided by her desire to share her French roots while enriching the experience of visitors to the region. She has successfully integrated into the community by creating a connection around gastronomy and responsible fashion. Since 2022, through her boutique Frip&Art, she has organized a fashion show at Pointe Sec, where fashion, dance, and theater come together. Profits from this activity are donated to local organizations, thus contributing to the vitality of the village.
Beyond her entrepreneurial activities, Delphine is an accomplished professional artist with 24 years of experience. She writes and directs children’s plays, combining her passion for stage, theater, and dance with her art. Inspiring, dynamic, and creative, Delphine contributes in her own way to the influence of the magnificent Haute-Gaspésie.

“My village’s beach! I really love the Pointe Sec and Face B area, with its summer entertainment and public market. The beauty of the landscapes, between the sea and the mountains, that Haute-Gaspésie offers magnificently complements everything.”
