Claudia Ferland and Michel Lapointe

Claudia and Michel are new faces who will be part of Madeleine’s decor this summer. The couple from Quebec recently became the owner of Camping VR du Cap à l’Ours and have great aspirations for their new home.

Why Madeleine? The story begins in 2022 when Claudia and Michel decide to sell everything in order to go on an adventure. Working remotely since COVID, they bought a caravan which will become their home. In the spring of 2023, they are planning their next Quebec adventure, the tour of Gaspésie, with the aim of exploring the salmon rivers. It was during the last reservations that the owner of Camping terrasses Cap à l’ours offered to buy the place. The “snowbirds” couple dreamed of a place to live peacefully in perfect harmony with nature and to recharge their batteries by the sea, the river and the mountains. This is what they found during their stay in Madeleine. They then become owners of the site in the summer of 2023.

Inspiring people and above all very motivated, they wish to use their expertise to breathe new life into the municipality. Michel, who created a Web marketing agency in 2009, is currently working with Claudia on a project to market guided tours at sea which will be offered by the municipality this summer.

Claudia and Michel love their little paradise so much that they want to get more involved in making it a tourist destination of choice! They already have projects on the drawing board that they hope to launch in 2025.
