Bergers

An aspiring writer, Mathyas trades his life in Montreal as a young advertising executive for that of a shepherd in Provence. The path to the much-desired pastoral tranquility is, however, strewn with hard work. The visit of Élise, a civil servant who abruptly left her job, gives a new direction to Mathyas’ quest. Together, they engage in transhumance. Crossed by the trials of the mountains, with a herd in their care, they will carve out a new life for themselves. Loosely inspired by the book Where Do You Come From, Shepherd? by Mathyas Lefebure.
