CHAR | ALEX BURGER

A country-rock artist who arrived through the front door, Alex Burger shuffles his cards on stage brilliantly – combining country, blues, rock and folk to propel observational songs that are at once ornate, funny and touching. Supported by his faithful and experienced Prix Staff, he sings of love, music, mouth-sweetening, simple contentment and drifting, advancing his tunes with a proverbial disarming naturalness, linking contemplative ballads and rock cavalcades, rocking the inside and making people laugh without being silly (or very little) with his open voice and his words that are both uninhibited and sagacious.

Char composes poetry and songs around Gaspé Bay. Char’s project touches on different Gaspé and Montreal scenes and wants, in its own way, to redefine song by exploring musical and poetic improvisation. She is launching a first album with indie, pop and alternative flavors in 2022 and an experimental micro-album in 2023. Charlotte continues her artistic exploration, always seeking to create an encounter with the omnipresent poetry and the sensitivity of each person.
