Char and Broussailles@La Face B

CHAR composes poetry and songs about the Bay of Gaspé. Accompanied by her guitar, loop station, and transverse flute, she invites you into her dreamlike and unusual musical universe. Char’s project touches on various Gaspé and Montreal scenes and aims, in her own way, to redefine song by exploring musical and poetic improvisation. She is releasing a first album with indie, pop, and alternative flavors in 2022 and an experimental EP in 2023. Charlotte continues her artistic exploration, always seeking to create an encounter with the omnipresent poetry and the sensitivity of each individual.
Broussailles is a project by composer and multi-instrumentalist Guillaume Boulay (also known as “Buisson”), which thrives between guitar strings and existential meditation. Originally from Sainte-Blandine in the Bas-St-Laurent region, they briefly spent time at the Rimouski Conservatory of Music before breaking free through an approach dominated by improvisation. Having composed the soundtrack for Lucas Garceau-Bédard’s film “Passage en terre nomade,” Broussailles is about to release a first collection of pieces entitled “Étude du cœur en ré.” A dreamlike and honest atmosphere is evident.
