If today for tomorrow, we remembered?
A brand new exhibition is currently underway at the Maison de la culture de Sainte-Anne-des-Monts: Sound Photo, Seeing and Hearing the Territory, in collaboration with artists Philippe-Emmanuel David and Angèle Courville. If Today for Tomorrow is a project involving the creation, outreach, and exhibition of sound photos that take us on a journey through a Quebec that is rethinking itself. Sainte-Anne-des-Monts is one of the participating towns in this second edition of Sound Photo, whose theme is: If Today for Tomorrow We Remembered? The question refers to the importance of the intangible heritage of the Upper Gaspé. This important intangible heritage, preserved and passed down by our ancestors, is of incalculable richness. It is important that we remember and pass on these tales and songs.
To pique your interest in exploring the exhibition, here is the audio excerpt associated with the photo of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts.
