Launch of Jean-Marie Fallu
The Haute-Gaspésie Historical Society invites you to the launch of Jean-Marie Fallu’s latest book, THE FASCINATING STORY OF PERCÉ, Volume 2: The Irresistible Landscape. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 15, starting at 5:00 p.m., at the L’Encre noire bookstore.
This second volume of The Fascinating Story of Percé completes a two-part series that fills a gap in Quebec historiography. This historical panorama is fascinating for many reasons. Percé has been and remains a mythical and iconic place that captivates anyone sensitive to beauty. Percé’s irresistible landscape places it at the forefront of the development of elite tourism in rural Quebec, followed by popular tourism. And what can be said of Percé as an inspiring source for some 185 writers and visual and musical artists featured in the book?
