Muhoza and his troupe

Muhoza means “consolation” in Kinyarwanda, the national language of Rwanda. Born in Montreal to a Cameroonian father and a Rwandan mother, Déric Muhoza Eloundou grew up in Ahuntsic, in a neighborhood marked by poverty. Through a jazzy rap with 90s influences, Muhoza transforms this darkness into strength. His lyrics, both raw and evocative, give voice to those who identify with them.
