Show in a yurt – Fiction + Theo Quinn and friends
We are so excited to welcome this incredibly original group of legendary musicians! The perfect Valentine’s Day date.
Description: Fiction is a Montreal-based project that offers a smooth, pop-infused rock sound with exquisite delicacy and nuanced control. The project’s sound stands out for its remarkable ability to soothe the ears before surprising them with catchy, textured melodies.
The band moves seamlessly from gentler songs with an enveloping backdrop of synthesizer and reverberating guitar to energetic pop-rock that makes you irresistibly want to sing along with the frontwoman.
Led by Marlie Robertson on drums and vocals, and featuring Vincent Deit on electric guitar, Florence Labelle on vocals and percussion, Charles-Olivier Paquette on synthesizer, and Oscar Robertson on bass. Marlie Robertson is a classically trained jazz drummer and electroacoustic artist. She brings a unique approach to composition, infused with soul, Motown, and folk influences, which she integrates into her background in experimental electroacoustic music, resulting in the signature sound of Fiction.
Tickets: $20 online and $25 at the door.
Schedule: 7:00 PM Tony’s Pizza Dinner – 8:00 PM Show
