Under the Moon: Understanding the Tides

To mark Science Culture Week, the theme of “From the Seas to Space” features the Cosmodome and Exploramer, a free virtual conference entitled “Under the Moon’s Influence: Understanding the Tides.”

This phenomenon results from the forces of the Moon and the Sun, as well as the Earth’s rotation, causing two high tides and two low tides per day.
These fluctuations reveal a new coastal landscape at low tide, exposing species that adapt to survive above water.
