Mont-Saint-Pierre is considered the capital of free flight in Eastern Canada. It’s internationally renowned among hang-gliding and paragliding enthusiasts, who meet here every year. This municipality will charm you with its immeasurable cliffs and incomparable views of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
In addition to tandem flights, thrill-seekers can take the Delta hiking trail up Mont-Saint-Pierre. For the more contemplative, you can also get there by bus, accompanied by a driver-guide who will share the history of this magnificent site with you.
As the gateway to the Chic-Chocs wildlife reserve and Gaspésie National Park (Mount Jacques-Cartier sector), Mont-Saint-Pierre is a paradise for outdoor activities. More than 50 kilometres of hiking trails surround it, including the important International Appalachian Trail. You can also go kayaking, kitesurfing, stand-up paddling, mountain biking, quad biking, and much more. During the cold season, snowmobilers and backcountry skiers will find no shortage of thrills and powder!
