Here are six places to discover this winter…

Three accommodations to surround you with wild nature.

Village Grande Nature Chic-Chocs
In Cap-Chat, treat yourself to a dream stay directly at the foot of the Chic-Chocs at Village Grande Nature Chic-Chocs. The Auberge has 16 rooms, a dining room, a meeting room as well as a bar section with breathtaking views of the mountains. If you want more rustic accommodation, opt for Canadian or Scandinavian chalets.

If you are a winter sports enthusiast, please note that all their trails are maintained and marked. This 4-star vacation center even offers rental of fatbikes, snowshoes and cross-country skis.

RAC – Outdoor cooperative
With an off-piste mountain ski pass, the RAC Outdoor Cooperative offers accommodation in a yurt, chalet and prospector tent in a wild and isolated place in order to unplug from technology to better (re)connect with nature.

Able to accommodate 5 to 6 people, the yurts are equipped with a wood stove, a propane stove and cooking essentials. The prospector tent, for its part, can accommodate up to 4 people and also has everything you need to cook and keep you warm: wood stove, propane oven and lighting.

Chic-Chocs wildlife reserve
Soak up nature in its purest form by staying in one of the chalets of the Chic-Chocs wildlife reserve located on the edge of majestic Lake Sainte-Anne. Powered by solar energy, these little havens of peace surrounded by mountains offer a striking setting for outdoor lovers.

A few minutes from the chalets, the trails, intermediate and difficult, lead to the summits of the Hog’s Back, Blanche-Lamontagne, Lyall, Vallières-de-Saint-Réal and Champs-de-Mars mountains.

Three places to recharge your batteries in Haute-Gaspésie.

The Cap-Chat Lighthouse
An enchanting site in Cap-Chat where nature is at its best and where the history of navigation has left its traces. The Cap-Chat Lighthouse is also a light, a landmark. It is the ideal place for health retreats, family reunions, a couple’s outing, and above all, a place to experience unforgettable moments!

Whether in the Lighthouse Keeper’s House, in one of the charming chalets, in one of the yurts overlooking the St. Lawrence or on one of the fifteen campsites accessible all year round, your stay at the Lighthouse Cap-Chat promises to be unique.

Panora river lodges
In Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, by the sea, treat yourself to a cozy and simple stay with the sea of Haute-Gaspésie as a backdrop! Open all year round, these small, modern and innovative homes reveal a natural panorama where the most beautiful sunsets seem endless.

Designed for four people, the lodges and their magnificent windows house two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a dining room. You can even fully enjoy the spectacle offered by this grandiose nature by immersing yourself in the outdoor spa available in each of the lodges. A unique moment of relaxation awaits you!

L’Auberge L’Amarré – Café-Bistro-Boutique
Located by the sea in the heart of Mont-Louis, Auberge L’Amarré is the perfect accommodation for a romantic getaway in Haute-Gaspésie. A colorful, warm place decorated with magnificent works by local artists. The inn offers ten cozy rooms with breathtaking views of the river or the mountains, and offers a “boutique pantry” showcasing tasty local products.
