Where can we consume local drinks in Haute-Gaspésie?
Many people are wondering this, and the good news is that we have the answer to this question for you! No matter where you are, you will be able to drink water nearby.
In Haute-Gaspésie, we are very fortunate to have among us the Distillerie Cap-Chat, the Microbrasserie le Malbord and the Distillerie Cap-aux-Péchés.
The Cap-Chat Distillery is entering its second year of opening to the general public and is bringing joy to more than one person. As their production is based on natural ingredients picked in our beautiful Gaspésie, the variety of beverages is already present. Passing through vodka, brandies, liqueurs, and more, they take us to their famous “ImaGin” brand gins. During your visit, you will have the chance to discover these magnificent products available for tasting on site. Very well located on the main avenue, it is a must not to be missed.
As for the Microbrasserie le Malbord, it owes its popularity to its place of production and tasting, but above all to its products which stand out. Perfectionists and passionate, the producers take their time to highlight the riches of the terroir, both in terms of the product and their name. And yes, each beer name carries a piece of Haute-Gaspésie history behind it. The microbrewery is located in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, but it is also possible to find their products in certain other points of sale. Open every day, their outdoor terrace facing the sea is definitely worth it. After all, what’s better than a little local beer to accompany the setting sun?
The Cap-aux-Péchés Distillery has worked hard over the past year to establish itself in the Rivière-à-Claude church. Their distilled spirits are of high quality, and soon we will also be able to do historical-taste tours. It’s a unique experience that begins with an animated historical tour of the village and ends with… you guessed it, a tasting that you won’t soon forget. In addition to being refreshed by the seaside breeze, their products will seduce you, and you will leave with more than one souvenir, that’s for sure.
Have a good trip and enjoy your discovery!
