CALAMINE
The Calamine concert presents itself as a manifesto of queer irreverence, a celebratory and casual trial of hetero-patriarchy and an eco-anxious lament whose enthusiasm and cynicism compete with each other. Faced with Noe-liberal indecency, personal decline invites us to dance on the decline of the world, embrace the intellectual bad faith of populists and reappropriate our status as waste in a perspective of empowerment. The therapeutic tools favored during his concerts are hysteria and alienation. Calamine surrounds himself on stage with his beatmaker Kèthe Magané (guitars and bass), Valérie Lachance-Guillemette (saxophones and vocals) and Arthur Evenard (keyboards).
