CHÂROGNE

Formed in 2014, Chârogne is a Montreal feminist punk band inspired by the Riot Grrrl movement. Their first album, Mange-moi, was released in 2017 after several performances by the group throughout Quebec. The same year, the single Féministe Frustrée appeared in a collective album, in France, entitled Allô Canada by La Souterraine. In 2019, the single Les fées ont soif, whose text is taken from the eponymous play by Denise Boucher, was launched. In 2023, the group released their second album, Trigger Warning which reached number 1 on the CHOQ.FM chart a few months after its release.
