Collectif 8 mars – Club Sexu
During the 2025 World March of Women, held in Quebec City on October 18, the instigator of this exhibition, Sandra Marchand, President of Section 608 SFPQ, was inspired by the artist Fany Rodrigue (@rodrigue_fany). Her approach evokes the feminist movement: that together, it is possible to go further. She collected footprints in clay to create a collective artwork.
The theme of the March 8 Collective for 2026 is: Generations Standing Up! “It’s a call to action, a rallying cry for a more just, more egalitarian, and freer society.”¹
As part of International Women’s Day on March 8, Ms. Marchand, President of Section 608 SFPQ, invited the women members of the section and their allies to a moment of reflection and collective creation.
The participants left their footprints in acrylic paint to express their feminist beliefs.
The mauve color of the frame is a reminder of the purple color associated with femininity: the union of red and blue, the union of woman and man in a common purpose.
