DVTR & Dogo Suicide

Warning: punk storm on the horizon! DVTR arrives with their minimalist chaos, repetitive riffs, and unpredictable energy to transform the evening into a veritable electric shock. Opening act: Dogo Suicide.

DVTR

Since its formation in 2023, DVTR has definitively shaken up the Canadian punk scene, racking up rave reviews, electrifying live shows, year-end best-of compilations, and other accolades with their debut EP, “BONJOUR.” Somewhere between the B-52s and Jay Reatard, the destructive duo and their unpredictable stage presence break down all language barriers, after concerts all over the world, from Mexico to Japan. DVTR is short, incisive, and repetitive; the only way the message gets through. Vasectomy for all, ACAB, zeitgeist, etcetera, etcetera.

Dogo Suicide

With the mindset that every concert could be their last—a band named Dogo Suicide has every reason to die prematurely—the Quebec City noise rock trio quickly made a name for themselves as much for their frenetic performances as for the smell of burnt plastic that permeates venues after they leave the stage; legend has it that bass amps are allergic to their bassist’s malevolent power chords. While inspired by the atmosphere of seedy taverns in Quebec City’s Lower Town, the trio enjoys navigating the diverse influences of its members while casually and impetuously playing with punk conventions. Reviewers, journalists, and podcasters have always struggled to define Dogo Suicide’s musical genre. Here, finally, is an enlightened answer: post-everything, but quite punk overall. Honorable mention to the kind columnist who once said that “to limit them to a punk band would be like saying the Mr. Puffs are just a dessert.” Dogo Suicide has embraced its hyperactive streak since the release of its first EP, “Sexe pour les yeux,” in September 2021. Indeed, the young trio has since performed over 100 times and released three EPs, all of which were nominated at the Gala alternatif de la Musique indépendante Québécoise. Their first full-length album, TRISTESSE LUCRATIVE, was released on November 7, 2025, by Disques Soluté.
