Swirling and sensitive, channeled, brushing the stage with moving abandon, Émile Bourgault is both modern and classic; he’s firmly of his time, but he knows where he comes from and takes his place in a lineage that stretches from Ferland to Philippe B.
On piano, guitar, or even empty-handed, solo, duo, or flanked by his band, the young singer-songwriter oscillates between chanson à paroles and pop earworms, always with a keen eye for the right words and a keen sense of performance.
His first album, Tant mieux, will be released in spring 2024, produced by Félix Dyotte (Pierre Lapointe, Évelyne Brochu). In addition to performing Tant mieux on stages across Quebec, Émile is already working on new songs and living the life that will lead him to all the albums to come. He hasn’t said his last word.
