A long-distance traveler who has worked in every musical field, Pasteur Papillon explores the paths of Americana, blues, and outlaw country at his own pace, in his own language. Through uncompromising lyrics, he offers rhythmic music that is sometimes contemplative, sometimes harsh, often festive, and always sincere.

With a vibrant musical trajectory that took him through the maze of New York and London, then back to his native countryside, Pasteur Papillon has abandoned the world of night and neon lights in favor of dawn, the breaking light, and the rustling of leaves. Yet the road is never far away; it continues to beat time in Pasteur’s catchy refrains. His music doesn’t shy away from introspection: his many past lives give him enough fuel to write a thousand songs. Surrounded by seasoned musicians, he delivers well-structured music close to his American roots, repatriated in a French close to the world.

In April 2024, Pasteur Papillon released his new EP, Cocorico, because the day must dawn. This new project, faithful to the country rock style of its author, aims to return to joy and lightness, after the exploration of the depths proposed in his previous album, On va sauve ce qui reste. After redemption comes the time for celebration, and for Pasteur Papillon, this takes on the colors of honky-tonk and boogie-woogie.
