Psychotropical Orchestra doesn’t just play music—it creates sensory storms. Formed in 2003, the group quickly made a name for itself with its audacity and unique fusion of Latin rhythms, Afrobeat, rock, and electronic textures. Their critically acclaimed debut album, Invasion Psychotropical (2007), propelled them onto festival stages in Quebec, Ontario, and even Mexico. Two years later, Pacheco Sessions (2009) solidified their reputation as an essential band before a hiatus in 2010.

In 2023, the flame was rekindled. Franco and Pinzón reunited the orchestra with a renewed vision and amplified intensity. Self-produced, La Travesía marked this return with seven original tracks and a vibrant reinterpretation of the classic “La Cumbia del Robot.” The album navigates between futuristic cumbia, captivating dub, and atmospheric trip-hop, while preserving the group’s eclectic and incandescent DNA. The return of original drummer José Dominguez anchors this new era in its roots while propelling Psychotropical Orchestra toward new horizons.
