SAUF LES DRONES

Sauf les Drones is an instrumental post-rock band based in Montreal; six bodies – trombone, violin, piano, harp, bass and drums – whose main tools are softness and intensity. Their music, with its cinematic character, is lively, fragile and strong at the same time. Formed in 2017, the group draws its influences from Sigur Ros, Godspeed you! Black emperor or Olafur Arnald.

The ensemble, which is committed to the representation of trans, non-binary, queer and women people in the musical world, is made up of a majority of these people. Their most recent album Versions du vivant, was launched in May 2023 and is distributed in the form of a zine containing the poetry of Névé Dumas.
