Hiking

Discover a multitude of hiking trails and connect with the natural landscapes that surround you. Whether in Gaspésie National Park, Chic-Chocs Wildlife Reserve, the International Appalachian Trail, or on one of the many trails in our vast network, you will have no choice but to marvel at the wilderness, a true sight to behold.

Gaspésie National Park

• Mandatory access fee
• No pets allowed except in the Mont-Albert sector.

Chic-Chocs Wildlife Reserve

• 116 Prudent-Cloutier Street, Mont-Saint-Pierre
• Early June to Labour Day
• Easy to difficult level
• Pets not allowed
• Hiking is not permitted during the hunting season from September 6 to October 28, 2023

IAT trail

Baie-des-Capucins walking trail

• Rue du Village, Cap-Chat
• Open year-round
• 4.5 km of trails
• Easy to intermediate level
• Pets allowed
• Starting point: Chalets de la Baie-des-Capucins

Mont Pointu trail

• Route de Saint-Joseph-des-Monts, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
• Open year-round
• 11 km of trails
• Trail shared with ATVs
• Easy to intermediate level
• Starting point: take Route Bellevue and turn left onto Route Saint-Joseph-des-Monts. Follow the signs for the Petite Prairie parking lot.

Parc du Petit Bois trail

• 1st Avenue West
• 6.4 km of trails
• Beginner level
• Open year-round
• Pets allowed
• Access: Cartier Beach parking lot, located right next to the Sainte-Anne River bridge on 1st Avenue West

Parc Côtier du Ruisseau-Castor

• 292 Perron Boulevard East, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
• Four walking trails
• Closed during the months of September, October, and November due to hunting season
• Easy to intermediate level
• Pets allowed
• Access: Parc Côtier de Ruisseau-Castor is located 13 km east of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts via Route 132. You can use the parking lots of Eskamer Aventure, Sea Shack, or Expé Aventures as a starting point for the trails.

 

Station de Montagne sur Mer in Mont-Saint-Pierre

• 102 Prudent-Cloutier Street, Mont-Saint-Pierre
• Delta trail: 7 km and summit at an elevation of 430 m
• Shared with the International Appalachian Trail
• Intermediate level
• Mandatory access fee
• Accessible year-round

Vallée des Pins Blancs trails

• Route de l’Église, Saint-Maxime-du-Mont-Louis
• Open year-round
• 8.2 km of trails
• Easy level

• Starting point: at the end of Route de l’Église

Des Ecorces trail

De la Croix trail

• Starting point: after first curve on De la Rivière road, look for IAT sign

L’Anse-Pleureuse Mountain Trail
